This long double-sided alder sauna door handle is designed for everyday use in both glass and wooden sauna doors. Crafted from solid alder wood and finished with natural sauna-safe oil, it combines a comfortable grip, clean design and lasting durability in high-humidity environments.

Why Alder?

Alder is widely used in sauna interiors because of its stable physical properties.

Resin-free (no sticky sap leakage)
Low thermal conductivity (does not overheat)
Resistant to humidity and temperature cycles
Dimensionally stable over time

Unlike some softwoods, alder will not release resin or create hot surface spots.

Surface Finish

The handle is treated with specialized sauna oil.

Oil penetrates the wood fibers and protects against moisture while allowing the material to remain breathable and natural to the touch.

Unlike lacquer, oil:

does not form a plastic-like film
does not crack under heat
can be easily refreshed

Glass Door Installation

Plastic washers are included to help reduce direct pressure on the glass surface during installation.
